Heating Units Heating Units are checked for gas leaks, loose electrical connections, cracked heat exchangers, high limit safety,pilot safety, duct or venting of flue gases that could lead to the escape of toxic gases. We recommend a Co2 monitor near every place in your home where there is a gas appliance with a flue. Safety is a major focus in our inspections. Air Conditioning Units are cleaned by washing the condenser coils, checking the electrical contact and tightening all electrical connections. Freon is inspected for leaks, this is vital to optimum performance. Central A/C units should be thoroughly inspected and tuned at least once every year. Plumbing & Drainage Checks are made for leaks in faucets and toilets. A barely perceptible leak in the toilet tank can waste 5 gallons a day or more, costing money and wasting a precious resource. Water heaters are checked for leaks and even more important, clogged flueways that could present a safety hazard. Water heater's are also inspected for the water heater's temperature and pressure relief valve. Water Heaters should be drained and flushed every year to reduce settlement build-up on the bottom, this prolongs the life of the water heater. Proper venting of the water heater flue gases is a must and should be checked every year. At the first sign of a slow draining pipe the best action is to have the drain cleaned out before a complete stoppage occurs and causes an overflow and damage to the carpet or floors.
